- How to contact us
1. Who we are
This website, compoundvmarketing.com, is operated by CompoundV LLC, doing business as CompoundV Marketing & Acquisitions, a California limited liability company based in Sacramento, California. Throughout this policy, "CompoundV," "we," "us," and "our" refer to CompoundV LLC.
We provide local SEO, marketing automation, social media management, and website services to small businesses, and we pursue small business acquisitions. This policy applies only to this website. It does not cover any third-party site we link to.
2. Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you hand us on purpose, and what is collected automatically when any browser loads a page.
Information you give us directly
This site has two forms: the free local visibility audit request, and the newsletter signup that also delivers our free checklist. When you submit either one, you provide:
| Category | What this means |
|---|---|
| Name | The name you type into the form. Required on both forms. |
| Phone number | The number you type into the form. Required on both forms, because a phone call or text is usually how we follow up. |
| Email address | The address you type into the form. Required on both forms. We use it to reply to you, to send your audit findings, and, if you signed up for them, to send the checklist and newsletter. |
| Business name or website | Audit form only. The business you want reviewed. Required, because the audit cannot be produced without it. |
| Service interest | Audit form only. The option you pick from the dropdown, for example local SEO, social media, or acquisitions. |
| Type of business | Newsletter form only. Optional. |
| Message | Audit form only. Anything else you choose to type. Optional. Please do not include sensitive personal information here. |
The newsletter form also records which link brought you to the signup page, for example a link in a YouTube video description.
If you instead call, text, or email the addresses published on this site, we receive whatever you send us in that message, along with your phone number or email address.
Information collected automatically
When you visit any page, standard technical information is collected by our hosting provider and by the analytics and advertising tools described in Section 6:
- IP address and general geographic area derived from it
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages viewed, time spent, and the link or search that brought you here
- Actions taken on the page, such as submitting the audit form, tapping the phone number, or opening the booking calendar
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account details, health information, biometric data, or government identification through this website. This site does not process payments. If you become a client, billing is handled separately and is not covered by this policy.
3. How we use your information
We use what you give us to do the thing you asked us to do, and to run the business behind it. Specifically:
- To prepare and deliver your free local visibility audit: reviewing your Google Business Profile, website, and local search presence
- To respond to you by phone, text, or email about your request
- To send the checklist and newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
- To provide services if you become a client, and to communicate about that work
- To improve this website: understanding which pages are useful and which are not
- To measure and improve our advertising, including the tracking described in Section 6
- To meet legal and tax obligations, and to keep ordinary business records
We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it, and we do not rent, trade, or otherwise share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
4. Phone calls and text messages
Both forms on this site require a phone number because a call or a text is how we usually follow up. By submitting either form, you agree that CompoundV may contact you at the number you provided, by phone call and by text message, including through automated or autodialed means, about your request and our services.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to calls or texts in order to buy anything from us, and we will not withhold the free audit if you tell us to use email instead.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Message frequency varies. We are a small operation and we do not run mass text campaigns.
- To stop texts, reply STOP to any message from us, or ask us directly. To stop calls, tell us on the call or email the address in Section 14.
- For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details in Section 14.
We do not share your phone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or text message campaigns.
6. Tracking, cookies, and the Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Meta about what happens on this site.
What the pixel records
- That you visited a page on this site, and which page
- That you submitted the audit form or the newsletter signup, and which service you selected on the audit form
- That you tapped a phone number or an email link on the page
- That you opened the booking calendar link
The pixel records that these actions happened. Meta's automatic advanced matching is also turned on for this site: when you submit a form, the pixel scrambles (hashes) the name, email address, and phone number you typed and sends those hashed values to Meta, which uses them to match your visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta does not receive them in readable form, and the pixel does not send your business name or message text.
What this means for you
Meta may use this information to show you CompoundV advertising on Facebook and Instagram after you leave this site, and to build audiences of people who behave similarly to our visitors. Meta's own handling of that data is governed by Meta's policies, not ours. You can review and control it at Meta's Privacy Policy and in the ad preferences of your Facebook or Instagram account.
Third-party collection across sites
To state it plainly, as California law requires us to: yes. Third parties, specifically Meta, may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use this site. That is what the pixel does.
How to turn it off
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Use your browser's private or incognito mode
- Adjust ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account
- Use a tracker-blocking browser extension
Blocking these cookies will not break this website. Everything on it will continue to work normally.
7. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no common industry standard for how a website should answer one. This website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We are telling you that directly rather than leaving it unstated. The controls listed at the end of Section 6 are effective regardless of your Do Not Track setting.
8. How long we keep information
- Audit form submissions: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can follow up and keep a record of what we reviewed
- Newsletter signups: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them
- Client records: kept for the length of the engagement and up to 7 years afterward, to satisfy tax and business record obligations
- Website analytics and pixel data: retained according to Meta's retention schedule, which is outside our control
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See Section 9.
9. Your choices and your rights
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to do any of the following, and we will honor the request:
- Tell you what we have: a plain description of the information we hold about you
- Correct it: fix anything inaccurate
- Delete it: remove your information from our records, except where we are legally required to keep it
- Stop contacting you: by phone, text, email, or all three
Email crisantocvma@gmail.com with your request. We respond within 30 days, and usually much faster. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents have an additional right under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. CompoundV does not make such disclosures, so there is nothing to report, but you may still send the request.
10. Reviewing or changing your information
This site does not have user accounts, so there is no login where you can edit your own details. To review or change information you submitted, email crisantocvma@gmail.com or call or text (916) 693-3740. We will confirm your identity in a reasonable way (usually by replying to the same email address or phone number you originally used) and then make the change.
11. Security
This website is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are delivered to a password-protected email account. We keep the number of people with access to your information at one: the owner.
That said, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, and we will not tell you otherwise. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material (for example, if we begin collecting a new category of information or sharing it with a new type of third party), we will make that clear by posting a prominent notice on this page for at least 30 days.
Your continued use of this website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy. We recommend checking the date at the top of this page from time to time.
14. How to contact us
Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, go directly to the owner. Not a support queue.
